Album: Neonatal Jaundice(2) |
All form fields are required. About album: Physiologic jaundice in a 5 day old baby. This album demonstrates two cases: 1) Jaundice: The higher the bilirubin the more icterus (yellow color) is apparent on lower parts of the body (lower abdomen and legs). 2) Skin mottling ( cutis marmorata) : A reticular appearance of skin due to exposure to low temperature resulting to exaggerated vascular response causing narrowing of arterioles and dilation of small veins. This is normal and disappears by 4 months of age. |
